The sun in May overheats the soil more often, calls the vintner to the vineyard - it's time to plant the vine. Establishing a new vineyard is a serious matter. You need to think carefully about it, study the terroir, choose the right variety, determine which direction the rows will go, and how the vines will be managed. This will determine the quality of the future grapes, which the vintner will taste for the first time only three years later. Small vineyards can be planted by hand - spade, penetration or hydro well, larger vineyards by machine. Before planting in the furrow, the vintner trims the roots of the paraffin seedlings, and it is ideal to immediately add a support rod or stake to them. The vineyard is livelihood, joy and concern. In the Lesser Carpathian region, vineyards are an important part of the landscape, they delight the eye of the winemaker and the passing visitor or tourist. They need time, stability, peace and especially protection, because a new vineyard is established for 40 to 50 years.
