Pavol Rankov is one of our most awarded and most translated writers. He debuted with the title Over time (1995). His works have been translated into many languages. He won the Ivan Kraska Prize, the Premio Letterario Internazionale Jean Monnet prize (1997), the Poviedka 2001 literary competition prize, the European Union Prize for Literature (2009) and the Literary Fund prize for original literary work for prose Mothers (2011). It is the laureate of the European Book 2020 award with a work It happened on the first of September (or some other time). He works at the Department of Library and Information Science, Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
He will come to Modra to discuss for the first time. In an interview with Márius Kopcsay, he will tell us about his work.
