More than 30 performers, Modranské wines and three days of experiences. Modranské vinobranie 2026 is coming!
From September 4 to 6, the historic center of Modra will once again be transformed into the venue for one of the most popular wine festivals in the Little Carpathians. The Modra Wine Harvest 2026 will offer three days full of quality Modra wines, burčiak, gastronomy, traditional crafts and a rich cultural program. Visitors can expect concerts by Jana Kirschner, the group Vidiek, Chiki Liki Tu-a, Bystrík, AMO or Bukasový Masív, a novelty in the form of Silent Disco and dozens of accompanying events for all generations. "The grape harvest is a strong tradition that belongs to our city and its winemakers. Every year, we try to combine quality Modra wines, top music, good food and the unique atmosphere of historic Modra during the harvest festivities," says the event's playwright and director of the Modra Cultural Center Ján Sklenár.
Three stages, multiple zones and a program for everyone
This year, the proven zoning of the event remains the same. The main stage "Kulturák" in front of the Modra Cultural Center will bring concerts by the biggest names in music, the Old Market will belong to the domestic, alternative and club scene, and the Modra Mansion will offer concerts, a family program, creative workshops, workshops and a relaxation zone. There will be a traditional gastro zone, craft stalls, carousels, a popular straw playground and a mini-stage for budding artists.
Wine lovers will be able to enjoy the offer at the Wine Zone of the Wine from Modra association, in the Wine Zone of the Vincúr association, and at the public tasting of the jubilee 10th year of the Wine of Modra Harvest 2026 competition in the town's wedding hall.

The Modranské vinobranie will be officially opened on Friday, September 4 at 5:00 p.m. at the Old Market Square with a fanfare and symbolic unlocking of the wine cellars. The opening will also include the award ceremony of the Wine of the Modranské vinobranie competition. Over the course of three days, more than thirty performers will perform on stages in Modra. The biggest attractions of the program include Jana Kirschner, the legendary group Vidiek, the cult band Chiki Liki Tu-a, the popular singer Bystrík, the hip-hop formation AMO, and the local Bukasový Masív.
The program will be complemented by concerts by The Curly Simon, Mutanti hledaj východisko (CZ), Headmovers, Martin Geišberg and Lucia Korená, Nina Kohout, The Cultural Studies, Meowlau, Druhý kládak, Feelme, Broňo Dobrota & Blues Rules, Nina Rosa, Vážky and other performers. Folklore will also be strongly represented. DH Šarfianka, DFS Magdalénka, Záruby Male Choir, DFS Magdalénka Folk Music, Folk&Bass Orchestra and Ženy z Muzičky will perform, as well as Laskonky majorettes and ADT Crew dancers.
Silent Disco and other news
One of the new features of this year's festival will be the Silent Disco, which will take place on Saturday evening in the park near the Modra Cultural Center. Visitors will choose music to their taste using wireless headphones and create a unique open-air dance floor.
The Old Market will also feature an interactive singing workshop, Let's Sing!, where interested parties will be able to test their vocal skills. The organizers are also preparing another visual surprise, which they are keeping under wraps for now.
Wine, burčiak and traditions
Wine remains an integral part of the Modranské vinobrania. In addition to tasting the winning wines of the competition, wine zones will be open throughout the weekend offering Modranské wines, burčiaks and ciders. The Vínozón will also feature a musical program, and on Sunday visitors can once again look forward to popular demonstrations of historical grape pressing, which are already a traditional part of the Modranské vinobrania.
Family program
The Modra vintage also has families with children in mind. The Modra Manor House will offer creative workshops, park games, a juggling school, stilt walkers, magic shows and a balloon show. Floorball games will be held at the Karol Štúr Gymnasium, visitors will try clay modeling in the Ceramic Court of the Slovak National Museum, and Slovak Folk Majolica will prepare demonstrations of traditional production and creative workshops. The program will also include demonstrations of traditional needlepoint embroidery, a presentation of the Malé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area and the Modra Scouts, and a book exchange.
Exhibitions and open monuments
Several exhibitions and expositions will be open during the harvest. Visitors can see the Oldtimer Tractor exhibition of historical tractors, exhibitions of the Slovak National Museum - Museum of Slovak Ceramic Sculpture and the Ignác Bizmayer Gallery, the Flow exhibition in Kaštiel Modra, exhibitions of Slovak folk majolica, or the Zelený les memorial site dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.
During the event, visitors will have access to an Info Point at the Tourist Information Center of Modra at Štúrová 59, where they can obtain the program, a map of the event, and other practical information.
