The international chamber music and jazz festival Hudba Modre 2022 will bring 6 concerts during four summer days.
Hudba Modre dedicates each year to different Slovak personalities. The organizers dedicated the 17th year to two
composers celebrating their anniversary: Iljo Zeljenko (1932 – 2007) and Marek Piaček (*1972). the program
the festival combines the traditional, tested over the years with the new, inspiring and sometimes provocative,
encouraging to think, to stop, to a deeper content. In addition to the more traditional repertoire, they will be heard
several compositions by I. Zeljenko performed by various performers and commissioned by the festival will be premiered
the presented piece by Marek Piaček Trio for clarinet, cello and piano dedicated to BERGER'S TRIO.
This year the festival has extended its duration.
"One of the novelties will be, for example, a Cineconcert with the screening of a silent comedy with live music
saxophone quartet from 1916, the next one will be breakfast with the LOTZ TRIO or an exceptionally accessible
the cottage of the composer Ilya Zeljenko in Modra - Harmónia, where he spent almost 40 years of his life. We are
extremely grateful to the Demešov family, which owns the cottage, for offering it "pro bono" for festival visitors
made available, and we will be able to find ourselves for a while in the space that became the maestro's for many years
a home, an oasis and a creative refuge in difficult times. I am also very much looking forward to breakfast with LOTZ
TRIOM - amazing, and perhaps even more famous basset horn players in the world. There is free/voluntary admission to all the concerts of the festival.

Tour of Ilja Zeljenko's cottage from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For this year's Hudba Modre festival, the composer Ilja's former cottage will be exceptionally accessible
Zeljenko (in December we will commemorate the 90th anniversary of his birth). The cottage is almost in its original condition and
it is owned by the Demeš family, who make it exceptionally accessible to the public.
Zuzana Godárová will present a paper on the life and work of I. Zeljenko on this occasion.

Musem of Art in New York, members of the world will talk over a pleasant breakfast at Cuvée in Modra
of the renowned LOTZ TRIA.
After breakfast, the LOTZ TRIO will perform a concert with a selection of WA Mozart's compositions in Blu: Gallery.
