For one weekend a year, dragons the size of a child's palm but also as big as a car will take over the fairy-tale Šimák Castle. However, in addition to dragons, fairies, princesses and piglets will come to life at the children's festival. The program is aimed at children's viewers and, together with the interactive program and workshops, will entertain children of all ages.
Workshops for the production of dragon souvenirs are traditionally part of the festival. From previous years, small visitors took home a wooden shield or their own cardboard kite. This year's souvenir, which is included in the entrance fee as well as attractions and an interactive program, remains a mystery for now. However, the organizer revealed that "children will again make something from the land of fantasy with the assistance of our willing fairies", says Bystrík Holeček, the organizer of the event.
"Performances that visitors can look forward to, especially the smaller ones, will be a puppet theater performed by Divadlo pod balkónom, a fairy tale called Strongman Max by Teáter Komika or a performance by Cirkus Hector, full of magical creatures and creatures," adds Bystrík Holeček, from the Hector Agency. Traditionally, the festival will also include children's attractions such as archery and children's wooden catapult.
Every year, the hands of artists surprise not only visitors, but also the castle staff:During the Dragons at the Castle festival, Šimák is transformed into a fairytale place. Around every corner I find more fantasy creations and decorations that so much complete the atmosphere of this festival," says Simona Kukumbergová from Šimák Castle. Part of the fairy-tale atmosphere at the festival is not only the main program in the form of children's performances, but also the decoration, interactive entrances and attractions.
Stands with food and sweet treats will be prepared, and for older visitors, selected coffee or fruit wines will be available.
