On Saturday September 28, 2024 from half past eleven in the morning the orphanage in Modran will be open again! The building is a unique construction of a prominent Slovak architect Dušan Jurkovič. Its construction was financed from collections and is a symbol of solidarity of love and hope.
The stories of children and their guardians are a source of inspiration and courage. Those who lived here in a difficult time fought for good and took risks to save others. From their life stories we gain inspiration and courage and hope for our days.

from12:00 LUNCH FROM THE ORPHANAGE: bean soup (also takeaway) / slime with nuts / cakes of all kinds and coffee
13:30- 15:00 lecture: Mgr. Peter Macho, PhD.: "Shards from the life of some orphans in Modran" / Historical Institute of the Slovak Republic
