The Bolka Polívka Theater presents Anna Polívková's author's play "Proslov".
Can you say a preface without words? When it comes to such a talented actress as Anna Polívková, not only is it possible, but it is also extremely engaging! A production in which we will discover the magic of fun and movement.
There is a gala evening where she was awarded the prize. She should speak, say something really important, fundamental, influence the world, awaken humanity... But how? Is it even possible? And should we strive for it? Anna Polívková met her eternal dilemma with humor and self-irony - she often has to express herself with words in her job description, but wouldn't it be better if she remained silent? She knows it in a different way, after all, she is a certified specialist in movement theater.
"It seems to me that sentences are often spoken with good intentions, but there are already too many of them and they lose their power. The main character wants to give her speech, but she doesn't like the words she chose. Doubts take hold of her, so she tries to express herself differently," explains Polívková. "Only recently I realized that I am already 42 years old and that I have ten, fifteen years of vital life left. I realized that I wasn't using my skills completely, because I started doing quite a lot of spoken theater, but I don't feel like it's something I really know," she adds.
The play was written by Anna Polívková herself, who also directed it in collaboration with Jana Burkiewiczová. The choreography was created by Jana Burkiewiczová, the production was supervised by Bolek Polívka and Pavol Seriš, the costumes were created by Marek Cpin, the lighting was done by Michal Fridrich and the production was arranged by Jakub Adámek. The production was created in the Bolka Polívka Theater and in co-production with the La Fabrika theater.
