Originally a water castle, it changed over the course of history, went through various architectural transformations, fell into disrepair, until it once again became the jewel of Pezinka. We cordially invite you all here for a tour of historical premises, for art, wellness and gourmet pleasure.
The castle is surrounded by an English park with a water area, which breathes a fresh spirit into the whole area. The courtyard regularly comes alive with various concerts and cultural events. Pay special attention to the interior, which underwent a well-deserved transformation after the Šimákov family took over the monument. You can get to know the secrets of this estate, which was once owned by the Pálfi family, during organized tours. This way, you will get to period furnished apartments that remind you of the majesty of the Hungarian nobility. Here you will be greeted by portraits of former owners, among whom was Ján Pálfi - a passionate art collector. In his will, he wished that all his possessions would become museums and enable people to encounter art. The path to fulfilling his will was not easy, but by a play of fate it was possible thanks to the collecting enthusiasm of the new owner Štefan Šimák (1948 – 2021), who founded an art glass gallery here. Fragile, colorful and at the same time monumental beauty materializes the stories of talented world-class glassblowers.
History and wine lovers will be delighted by the Museum of Viticulture and Winemaking in the basement of the castle. The oldest barrel in the apostolic cellars dates back to 1807. In fact, wine with an elegant color and captivating aroma is produced right here in the castle. You can taste home-made products in combination with traditional and modern gastronomy in Palffy restaurant or in Zámocká viecha.
Another attraction is the exhibition of JAWA brand motorcycles focused primarily on road motorcycles and especially unique pieces. Here you can see 22 unique machines and one prototype.
