More than one generation has had a lot of fun in this place and more than one summer love has flared up here. The natural swimming pool in the location of Modra - Piesok has been deteriorating for a long time, and it was not long ago that it was revitalized. We invite you here for a fresh swim, but also for an exciting adventure in the local Bikepark Pumptrack.
The location above Modrou is extremely attractive at any time of the year. Active tourists and those who just need to clear their heads in the fresh air from time to time love it here. During the summer, when it is the hottest, you can cool off in the waters of the natural swimming pool, literally surrounded by forests. The Little Carpathians, with their shadows and hiking trails under the treetops, invite you to discover their hospitality.
The city of Modra managed to restore the natural swimming pool with funds obtained from grants from the European Union. The reservoir of the swimming pool as well as the dam and all pipe outlets from the water reservoir underwent a complete transformation. The dam was dismantled, strengthened and insulated. The construction part of the pumping station for snowmaking was created within the brothel, thanks to which the nearby ski slope can also be kept under snow. The goal is to continue improving the site so that future generations can enjoy it again.
The area above Modrá is also loved by cyclists, who seek it out for its numerous trekking cycle routes. In addition, there is also a pump track built here, where all wheel sports enthusiasts can "pump up" to their heart's content. Everyone is welcome on bicycles, scooters, skateboards or roller skates. Even children from 2.5 years old can do it on bouncers, but don't forget helmets. The area has a 113.6 m long track, as well as various jumps with height differences of up to 1.2 m. The park is open to the public daily, and if you're lucky, you'll also meet the Slovak representative in mountain biking and Filip Polac, a native of Pezin, during training sessions.
