Divided into an urban and natural circuit, the Sv\u00e4tojursk\u00fd nature trail invites you to discover the most beautiful sights of the town of Sv\u00e4t\u00fd Jur. It will interest history lovers as well as wine, architecture and nature lovers. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the city circuit, which is about 2 km long, you will discover important cultural and historical objects of the city core. Start the walk at horse railway station<\/strong> and continue through the city center. It is very nicely built, the spirit of old times breathes on the visitor. You will see the remains city walls<\/strong> i originally vineyard houses<\/strong> with gates with semicircular portals, P\u00e1lfiov mansion, Piarist monastery and Zichyov manor.<\/strong> A slight climb will take you to the Gothic Church of St. George <\/strong>from the end of the 13th century and a younger woman standing next to him wooden bell tower.<\/strong> It is here, near the church, that the natural circuit begins, about 7.5 km long with an elevation gain of 310 m. Reserve about 2.5 hours for it. It will lead you through Ga\u0161tanica, Pust\u00e1ky, Biely Kame\u0148 castle and Ne\u0161tich castle back to the church.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White Stone <\/strong>imagine it as the ruins of an early Gothic castle. It lies above Sv\u00e4t\u00fd Jura, surrounded by the forests of the Small Carpathians. It was mentioned for the first time in 1271 and was part of the protective system of castles on the western border of Hungary. It probably disappeared after the Turkish incursions into St. Jura in 1663. The natural circuit of the St. Jura educational trail will lead you alums<\/strong> \u2013 a long and high embankment, which was created by the winegrowers by carrying out and digging stones from the vineyards. Stones were usually placed across the contours, along the slope and sometimes they also served as a foundation for the shelters - sheds.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Northwest of Sv\u00e4t\u00e9 Jura in the area of the Great Moravian Castle above Ne\u0161tichom is the Protected Area St. George's Castle.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hradisko Ne\u0161tich <\/strong>was characterized by a powerful defensive system of ramparts and ditches. We learn about it from archaeologists and historians in the 1920s. and we gradually discover that the settlement here dates back to the beginning of the Middle Bronze Age (16th - 15th centuries BC). The findings reveal that a settlement was also built here in the Hallstatt period (8th - 5th century BC) and in the Latenian period (5th - 1st century BC), Celts and Germans found their refuge here during the Roman period and the migration of peoples. (1st - 6th centuries AD). The location also became a home for Slavs - from the 2nd half 8th cent. BC they had fortifications here and formed the Slavic border fortress of Nitra. The fortress reached its greatest growth in the 9th century. With the arrival of the middle of the 10th century, it disappeared and St. Jur was established.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
