These two attributes are combined in the local mansion, which resembles the most beautiful French castles from the Loire Valley.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But talking about this place must start at another time. Budmerice - originally Budim\u00edr was known for its breeding ponds. Their construction began in the 16th century, and since the village belonged to the manor in \u010cerven\u00fd Kameni, it is obvious where the fish ended up from there. In addition, the locals were also excellent farmers, carters, later millers and potters - with their own guild. In 1705, the village was burned down after the Battle of Budmericie, but it did not disappear from the map. On the contrary! And its glory was restored by the decisions of count J\u00e1n P\u00e1lfi. A passionate hunter and also a lover of nature, he had a pheasant house built in the Lindava forest, and together with his future wife, Al\u017ebeta Schlippenbach, they chose Budmerice as the place for their mansion. The project for the couple in love was created by the Viennese architect Franz von Neumann. The impressive building is dominated by a high tower with a viewing platform and a clock. If you will be here, notice the coat of arms above the entrance and the indicated date - it reveals when J\u00e1n and El\u017ebeta said their &quot;yes&quot;. Although it may not seem like it from the outside, the manor house belonged to the very modern residences of its time in terms of equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was inherited by Pavol P\u00e1lfi, but after his emigration in 1945, the seat was confiscated by the Czech-Slovak government. Until 2011, the rare monument was used by Slovak writers for recreation and creative symposia. The writer and Budmer native Rudolf F\u00e1bry and his colleague Laco Novomesk\u00fd were responsible for this. The tragedy is that nothing of the original equipment has survived here. We are happy, however, that the spirit of the times has been restored to the place in recent years.
