Romance, the magic of witches, the planned disgrace of the queen, the intrigues and traps of the cunning cardinal, dramatic twists, but especially the fateful pearls of the queen's necklace. All this can be experienced in the Budmerick Manor on August 5, 2023 during the Mysterious Necklace scenic event.
During the first Saturday of August, the Budmerice mansion will reveal another piece of Slovak history. This time, the guided tours with skits tell visitors the story of the planned betrayal of Beatrix of Luxemburg, the wife of the Hungarian king Charles Robert of Anjou. Through the theatrical rendering of dramatic passages, the visitor will personally meet Queen Beatrix herself, the insidious cardinal and his
intrigues, with less noble inhabitants of the royal court, but also with figures of black magic.
In an unguarded moment, the queen reveals her secret to a good-hearted but too talkative and not very wise chamberlain. It is she who unwillingly reveals the mystery of the queen's pearl necklace during the confession to the cardinal. He immediately picks up on the "gossip" and tries to use it to his advantage. He devises a plan to publicly humiliate and compromise Beatrix of Luxembourg. In order to obtain proof of the queen's infidelity, the cardinal joins forces with the world of magic and spells. To complete the cardinal's plan, the sorceress Aurora and her scholar Oxana concoct a magical potion.
Will the miracle potion have the right effects? Will the hidden secret from the queen's chamber finally come to the surface or will it be kept hidden after all? What role will the pearls from the queen's necklace play in this story? Answers to these questions can be obtained in the Budmerick Manor on August 5, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. through role-play tours with skits. Return to the past
