Small Carpathian Museum in Pezinok
A dynamic museum of the 21st century, which primarily specializes in the ancient culture of viticulture and winemaking in the environment of the Lesser Carpathians. It represents more than fifty-five years of tradition of collecting, researching, protecting and making available objects that document the diverse history of the region. It manages, among other things, the largest collection of vineyard presses in Europe. Since the foundation of the museum in 1960, the historical Renaissance house from the 17th century in the town of Pezinok has been the residence building. The building and exhibits have undergone several reconstructions so that today they can offer the public a presentation of our history in a modern design and also through an experience. In addition, the museum organizes a number of cultural, social, educational and artistic activities for several target groups of the public.
Small Carpathian Museum in Pezinok currently offers two permanent experiential exhibitions, which represent the largest collection of grape presses in Europe and convey interesting information about viticulture and winemaking in the Little Carpathians. The tour is complemented by interactive elements, such as virtual reality, a holographic exhibition, a blood alcohol level simulator, an aroma bar, a bottle opener, and a grating chair. The price of "ARTička" also includes a glass of local wine. The great attraction of the museum are the experiential tastings "Wine and chocolate," "Tasting in the dark," "Tasting with music and colors."
