SNM – Ľudovít Štúr Museum
Ľudovít Štúr Museum was founded in 1965 in Modra, the place of Štúr's final resting place. Since its establishment, it has focused on the presentation and building of a collection and study fund, especially on the personality of Ľudovít Štúr, as well as on the history and cultural and ethnographic traditions of Modra and the adjacent region. So far, it has been possible to collect a library fund of 19,000, divided into a literary-historical library, a specialist library, and the personal library of dr. Jozef Ambruš and a special library. The collection fund with over 5,000 items mainly includes ethnographic collections of ceramics and folk textiles, furniture and wooden or metal objects from the history of Modra. The archive fund protects around 5,000 photos and archive units.
